Job purpose

We are looking for a candidate to join the team at BeFC to manage the development ofour digital health patch product(s); creating, maintaining and monitoring, the specific product roadmap(s) and ensuring customer(s) needs are met.

The candidate will be managed by the CPO.

The post holder will be expected to perform staff managerial duties to fulfill the role.

Main duties and responsibilities

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and will bring evidence-based decision making to the forefront of product design and delivery, whilst promoting collaboration within and between teams, ultimately ensuring choices are aligned with maximising business opportunities.

1) Ensures the product responds to the customers’ pain points and translates business/customer requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.

2) Bridges the gap between customer expectations and engineering realities.

3) Creates, maintains, prioritises, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or return on investment.

4) Creates acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for single sprints, and clearly defines any and all project constraints.

5) Drives design decisions based on deep insights into pain points, behaviours, preferences, and motivations of customers.

6) Integrates user experiences into the product design.

7) Manage from concept to design: sample production, testing, forecast, production cost, promotion, support, and finally product end-of-life.

8) Developing and executing strategic plans for product delivery in alignment with the organisation’s overall goals and objectives.

9) Overseeing the entire lifecycle of product programs from planning and development to execution and delivery.

10) Works with management to ensure correct resource allocation to achieve time-bound targets and maps out realistic project dependencies.

11) Ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration, coordination and alignment throughout the product program lifecycle.

12) Identifying risks within the roadmaps.

13) Recommend future product feature prioritisation to management.

14) Enforce quality standards for product programs.

15) Monitors the market and researches competitors and similar products.

16) Contributes towards a high-level dashboard to visualise progress made against certain key performance indicators, objectives, and key results.

17) Ensure timely completion of product development workpackages without significant cost overruns.

18) Articulates what product success looks like with clear quantifiable metrics.

19) Interacts and validates requirements of customers and stakeholders.

20) Communicating, data analysis and reporting regularly with stakeholders.

Specification

Essential Qualifications/ Experience/ Attributes

Graduate with relevant background (MBA, Master’s degree or equivalent) in field including business, management, marketing, engineering, or life science

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, specifically on digital health solutions / wearable sensor patches

Good knowledge of the market vertical (e.g., digital healthsolutions, and/or wearable sensor patches)

Strong business acumen to ensure choices are aligned with maximising business opportunities

Ability to develop strong relationships and drive collaboration

Fair and objective when presenting or making decisions

Strong technical and project management capabilities

Experience in planning, monitoring and supervising relevant staff

Proficiency in preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written records

Impeccable communication skills and capable of collaborating closely with other teams and variety of stakeholders at different levels of seniority and knowledge

Meticulous, taking pride in the quality of their work

Organised and rigorous

Impeccable interpersonal communication skills

Objective-oriented

Desirable Qualifications/ Experience/ Attributes

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role

Strong knowledge of relevant quality assurance and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001 and ISO 13485)

Experience following medical device development and commercialisation (e.g., through clinical trials)

Understanding of English language, both written and oral
