Vivien grew up in Thurins, close to Lyon. After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Chemistry from the Grenoble University Institute, he took a position at Soitec as a process technician, specializing in production monitoring. He is highly motivated by working on innovation projcts that concern environmental sustainability which was a driver for his decision to move to BeFC.
